The final phase is to get the “error-checker” copy and read through it for those pesky typos. I don’t want to send it out riddles with mistakes.(I missed several in Devil’s Blood 1 and I was humiliated by each one.) They’re so much easier to catch on paper. It feel real, rather than reading it from a screen. And after a while my eyes do this lollygagging thing were I stop reading and find something else to stare at, like I’m trying to distract myself. That’s why I’m not big on ebooks.
