Vacations

When I was younger, I looked forward to Christmas Break because I could sleep in, play video games without worrying about homework, and I got presents. Today, I’m looking forward to the Break because I’ll have a week off work, three weeks off school, and I’ve already made a list of all the things I want to do.

I can proofread Devil’s Blood 2, or finish the revision of that untitled Steampunk/pirate/romance/adventure, or outline Devil’s Blood 3, or a combination of all three. I write in the wee hours between homework and work, and with an entire week free from both, I could get so much accomplished. If I wrote ten thousand words a day, I could finish a sixty thousand word novel in a week. I probably won’t, but I could.

Being a grown-up is so much fun. Time becomes currency; currency becomes time.
