I always pronounced it “purse-phone,” but apparently it’s “Per-sef-o-knee.”
Huh.
I also pronounced Sirius as “sigh-rus.” (Harry Potter)
I pronounced Chaol as “coal.” (Throne of Glass.)
This is why I am a fan of easily pronounceable names and those pronunciation guides that fantasy books often have.

Antigone. Worked at a bookstore and everyone asked for that book, Anti-gone. It’s “Ant-ee Gone-ee.” 😁 For the longest time I didn’t know how to pronounce “Hermione.” I thought it was “Hermy-on.”
