Book Review: Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahurin (5/5)

In the sequel to Serpent and Done (which I LOVED 5/5), we follow Lou and Reid as they try to stop Morgane. Relationships are tested, the world is explored, and magic is tested. While Blood and Honey didn’t quite grip me as tightly as the first book, I still loved this installment. I love Lou and Reid. I love the way Shelby Mahurin tells a story and waves romance and danger and horror into it.

This series is a MUST for any YA Fantasy readers, especially those that adore the enemies-to-lovers trope and dangerous magic. Let’s not forgot the darling, French-inspirited world that she’s built. It’s amazing and so different from your typical fantasy world. As a reader, I love it; as a writer, I am envious.

Blood and Honey hit all the right notes, and it gets 5 glittering stars out of 5.
