My next book, Strong as Steel, the final book in the Hard as Stone YA Gaslamp Fantasy trilogy is coming out this autumn.
After that, the fourth, fifth, and sixth book in the Stars and Bones series are set to come out in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Then the series will be complete.
I have that Aladdin retelling WIP, The Reaper of Zeniba, which was originally slated for sometime within the next few years but has since been shelved. (And really, it’s more “inspired by” than a retelling.)
I also have my Kingdom of Thorns series, a YA High Fantasy. The first book is going to an editor this month, the second book is done, and I am currently rough drafting book 3.
I also have my Empire of Storms novel, NA/YA High Fantasy, which I queried late last year. The full MS has been sitting in an agent’s slush pile since October of 2021.
I’ve got a vampire romance WIP which is rough and clumpy and a hot mess. I’ve got a Fatal Frame inspired fantasy with a beginning and no ending. Both High Fantasy.
I also haven’t finished my Devil’s Blood series.
I have a lot of WIPs. I have no publishing goals for them. I don’t know what I want as far as publishing. I don’t know if I want to continue the path I’m on, go with a traditional publisher, or go back to the self-published route. This is the part of publishing that I have always struggled with. The after the writing.
A part of me still wants the traditional publishing deal, because it represents the dream. Having an agent. Signing with a publishing house. Seeing it on Barnes and Noble’s shelves.
But, I am far from having to make that decision.
We will stare at that bridge when it’s in sight.
That is an impressive list of stories in the works! Good luck 🙂
